These results are extracted from our Carbon Footprint, a document that analyzes and measures the company&#8217;s environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>The improvement was made possible by a 252 kWp photovoltaic system and supporting a Sustainable Forest Management project in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, which offset 150 tons of CO\u2082.<br \/>\nDirect emissions decreased from 135 tons in 2023 to 103 tons in 2024, while net emissions dropped to 126 tons, compared to 312 tons in the previous year.<br \/>\nFornovo Gas, as a Benefit Society, reaffirms its commitment to emission reduction and long-term sustainability.<br \/>\nFor 2025, we anticipate new initiatives, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expansion of photovoltaic energy.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase of 100% renewable energy.<\/li>\n<li>Support for local environmental protection projects, such as the one in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the coming months, we will share detailed actions we will take to continue improving our environmental impact in 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2024, Fornovo Gas reduced its net CO\u2082eq emissions by over 60% compared to the previous year.
