Burckhardt Compression has signed an agreement to acquire Fornovo Gas, a provider of gas compression solutions for biogas and compressed natural gas applications. Founded in 1969 in Italy, Fornovo Gas focuses on mid-sized reciprocating compressors and has developed a strong market position in Europe. It employs approximately 120 people.

The acquisition strengthens Burckhardt Compression’s position in the growing biogas and compressed natural gas (CNG) markets. Fornovo Gas brings strong technical expertise, a complementary product line to Burckhardt’s and long-standing customer relationships.
